Who we are
MyPisaHome ("we", "us", "our") operates the website and booking services for vacation rentals in Pisa, Italy. We are the data controller for personal information collected through mypisahome.com and related booking communications.
You can contact us about privacy matters at info@mypisahome.com, by phone at +393349350060, or by post at Pisa (PI), Italy.
What data we collect
We collect information you provide when making an enquiry or booking, including your name, email address, phone number, billing details, guest names, arrival preferences, and any messages you send us.
When you pay online, payment card details are processed directly by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers on our servers. Stripe may collect technical and fraud-prevention data according to its own privacy policy.
We also collect limited technical data when you use our website, such as IP address, browser type, device information, and pages visited, through cookies and similar technologies as described in our Cookie Policy.
How we use your data
We use your personal data to process reservations, communicate about your stay, provide check-in instructions, handle payments and refunds, respond to support requests, and comply with legal obligations in Italy.
Where permitted, we may use your contact details to send service-related messages and, if you have opted in, marketing communications about MyPisaHome properties and offers. You may withdraw marketing consent at any time.
We analyse aggregated website usage to improve our services, security, and guest experience. We do not use automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects without appropriate safeguards.
Legal basis under GDPR
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we process personal data on one or more of the following bases: performance of a contract (to manage your booking), compliance with legal obligations (including tourist registration and tax requirements), legitimate interests (such as fraud prevention and service improvement), and consent where required (for example, non-essential cookies or marketing emails).
If you are an EU or UK resident, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or port your personal data, and to object to certain processing. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
Sharing and international transfers
We share personal data only when necessary to operate our services. This may include payment processing through Stripe, email and hosting providers, property management tools, and professional advisers where required by law.
Some service providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where this occurs, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms recognised under GDPR.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties for their independent marketing purposes.
Retention and security
We retain booking and identification records for as long as needed to fulfil the reservation, resolve disputes, and meet accounting, tax, and regulatory requirements in Italy. Marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, subject to legal retention limits.
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. No online system is completely secure, so please use strong passwords and contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorised activity related to your booking.
Your choices and contact
You may update certain booking details by contacting us before arrival. To exercise your GDPR rights, email info@mypisahome.com with sufficient information to verify your identity and describe your request.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of our services after changes take effect constitutes acknowledgement of the updated policy where permitted by law.
